Solid-State Battery Materials

PolyE's battery-material program develops solid electrolyte materials and modified polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) binder materials that help cell makers move toward safer, higher-energy-density solid-state and semi-solid batteries.

Solid-state battery materials: electrolyte and modified PVDF binder

Solid electrolyte materials

Our solid electrolyte development targets the ionic conductivity, interfacial stability and processability needed for sulfide, oxide and polymer-based solid electrolytes — supporting pilot lines moving from qualification to volume.

Modified PVDF binder materials

Modified PVDF binders improve electrode cohesion, rate capability and cycle life in both liquid and solid-state cells. They are especially relevant to dry-electrode processes, one of the fastest-growing binder segments (≈38% CAGR through 2034).

Why our battery materials

  • Higher thermal and electrochemical stability vs. conventional liquid electrolytes.
  • Reduced flammability for safer cells.
  • Binder grades compatible with solvent-free dry-electrode coating.
  • Tunable molecular weight and modification for your electrode recipe.
  • Co-development with our R&D and university advisors.
